Viking Makeup & Hair

**This look is for editorial. TV/Film vikings are obviously less glam and without the bling bling highlight I’m known for on the cheeks eyes, and tip of nose.**
I used Makeup Forever Ultra HD Liquid Foundation in Y245. It has a yellow undertone to cancel any red or pink in the skin. It’s staple in my kit for clients and is also the shade I use on myself.
The smokey eye effect was done using the Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion all over the lid and onto the areas of the face I knew I wanted to spread the smokey-dirty effect.
First, I created a basic glam-black smokey eye using the Too Faced Natural Lust eye shadow palette (see below).
Then I used a slightly damp, black cake liner applied with a fluffy brush to create the the first layer of the mask. To add more dimension I then layered the black further using the black eye shadow in the Natural Lust palette with a blending brush, creating the mask.
You could also use an eye liner brush with the cake liner to outline a more pronounced and detailed mask if you prefer. I was diggin’ the diffused look that day.
Finally, knowing they were going to shoot at the beach in central Florida during the day (which equals humidity and sweat), I set the look with the Urban Decay all nighter setting spray.
Hair styled with the Beachwaver S1.25 and heat protectant hair spray (see below to purchase).
